Module Type: EC Coupler Module
Module role: The EtherCAT Coupler is the connection between the fieldbus-level EtherCAT protocol and the EtherCAT Terminals. The coupler converts the transmitted telegrams from Ethernet 100BASE-TX to Q-bus signal representation.

2 x RJ45 interfaces; the upper Ethernet interface is used to connect the coupler to the network and the lower Ethernet interface is used to connect other EtherCAT devices. In addition, EtherCAT nodes or EtherCAT extensions can be used to extend or set up a line or star topology.
